8 week old baby L

This afternoon I had the pleasure of cuddling up the baby girl of an old friend from high school.

Baby L's cousin was in the studio and few months ago for his newborn shoot. I talked with his mom about doing photos for her sister who was due the end of May/beginning of June. Baby L had other plans.

Mom had some complications and was on bed rest. Unfortunately there was just no holding her back and she made her way into the world around 30 weeks. Born at 3.3lbs she fought hard and thrived. Today you would never know she was preemie!

Mom and Dad both have a cool funky style and wanted to keep it simple and not too princess like for little L. I love what we came up with! The Mandela was extra special as mom draws them and dad is a musician so of course we had to include his guitar.

Little L has some Blackfoot Indian in her so the dream catcher and little feather headband was fitting.

Mom and Dad did family shots as well! How gorgeous are they?
