Easter minis are almost here!

This year is going to be GORGEOUS!! I ordered a new backdrop, got some beautiful painted chairs and have some awesome ideas! These minis are always really popular, especially because the spring theme isn't so themed that it can't be displayed year round. I have been pinning ideas and trying to refrain from buying every cute thing I see!!! I may just have to splurge on this though...

A little word about live animals and spring sessions. A few years back I offered live animals (chicks and bunnies) for these sessions. I admittedly didn't weigh the risk for both the animals and the children. We had a couple close calls with the chicks and both were elimitating everywhere! Although I had the children sanitizing thier hands after the session, it didn't prevent a baby from putting his hands in his mouth during the session. The scary part is some chicks carry salmonella and there is no way to tell who does and doesn't. I had a great rabbit (our family pet) who was very relaxed and not a biter, but he did nibble a finger during one of these sessions. Aside from the immediate liability, the LAW states a photographer must have a permit from the USDA in order to hold these types of shoots. If turned it I could face hefty fines. Soooo we will have stand in stuffed bunnies and chicks which I can replace with a digital image of a real animal (as seen in the flyer photos).

I personally can't wait to photograph my own children this year! Parker just got his suit for my brother's wedding and I may be ordering one of those adorable vintage knicker and suspender suits for Rowan (for the wedding and easter). Plus if you know my little one you know that he would be the cutest fattest rabbit! Needless to say I'm excited!
